Lead Production Worker

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Auxiliary Production Worker (LAPW) assists the Production Supervisor during assembly and packaging of contract work on a team of Auxiliary Production Workers by being the liaison between the workers and the supervisor. The LAPW observes the production being done and reports any needs or concerns to the supervisor. The LAPW also participates in the production of work being done.



  • Follow detailed assembly and packaging instructions, processes, and procedures as instructed
  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per Quality Control System as instructed
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Lead Auxiliary Production Worker or Production Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Notify supervisor of need for additional components when needed
  • Unload and load deliveries and perform other miscellaneous warehouse duties as needed and as directed
  • Verify that assembly of all workers in area meets specifications reporting problems when identified
  • Maintain assembly parts inventory at workstation by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies
  • Train and assist auxiliary production workers to accomplish their job tasks as required
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to improve production
  • Give feedback to all auxiliary production workers to assist them in complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • One (1) year's experience in an industrial production setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team
  • Attention to detail

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
