Speech Therapist

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide home-based Early Intervention Speech services to Infants and Toddlers within their natural routines.


  • Provide ongoing speech therapy services to young children (birth to three years of age) in the community
  • Complete quarterly progress monitoring reports with data to determine progress towards Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) goals and objectives
  • Work in conjunction with family/caregiver to modify goals and services as needed
  • Participate in Quarterly Progress monitoring meetings
  • Attend staff meetings monthly
  • Provide parent/caregiver training on how to implement strategies in the home relative to the IFSP and challenges the family is having with the child in their daily environment
  • Maintain services as per the IFSP
  • Maintain and submit timely and accurate records for all early intervention activities (including invoicing, quarterly progress monitoring and session notes)
  • Maintain communication with team members, administrators and funding source
  • Participate in agency and program staff development activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Clinical Coordinator


CONTACTS: Family, Clients, Service Coordinators from Office of Early Intervention, other professionals involved in the child's care.


  • M.A./M.S. in Speech Pathology or Communicative Disorders
  • Maintain 24 hours of ongoing continuing education annually including required trainings specified by the Delaware County Office of Early Intervention
  • Possess and maintain current PA license in Speech Pathology
  • Possess and maintain certificate of Clinical Competency
  • Current PA driver's license and Auto Insurance for vehicle being used to travel between cases
  • Current Malpractice Insurance
  • Experience in early intervention and feeding therapy preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocols
  • Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, 3 years driving experience, and acceptable driving record

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
